One of my favorite things to photograph is “scenes” that I’ve set up. This particular one is a photographer’s table. I just imagined what you would find there, the camera, film, a film canister, and film viewer. There could be many other things you might find. The idea is just tell a story with what you have, the possibilities are endless. Don’t worry about trying to perfect someone else’s technique or perspective. Create your own, think big, and be passionate. The important thing is to create your own point of view. Georgia O’Keefe said it best, “I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way- things I had no words for.” Find your voice, create it or capture it.
